Behind the Ingredients: Why Super Pups Dog Treats are not Chewy…

What separates a good dog treat from a great dog treat? We specially formulated our Super Pups CBD dog treats to be palatable and enjoyable to as many dogs as possible while interfering as little as possible with any special diets that a puppy or older dog may be on. While we always recommend consulting your veterinarian if your dog is on a special diet before adding in any type of dog treat or alternative treatment, the healthy ingredients in our treats are a great addition to most common dog diets. Let’s get into what’s behind Super Pups CBD dog treats, our ingredients, and our premium Design Wellness CBD hemp extract that is so popular among humans and dogs alike!

What’s in a Super Pups dog treat?

Malted Barley – Our locally sourced malted barley consists primarily of barley grain husks that are not only rich in malty flavor, but loaded with healthy fiber and protein. It is also considered to be a good source of water-soluble vitamins and has been used by farmers as high-quality animal feed, dating all the way back to 17th century Monks using leftover grains from brewing to feed their livestock.

Organic Barley Flour – Flour is a necessity in dry dog foods and treats like Super Pups CBD dog treats. We don’t use wheat, corn, or GMO soy, and unlike many competitors, we use organic barley flour. Additionally, as a complex grain, barley is considered to be more nutritious than wheat or corn for dogs.

Organic Peanut Butter – Dogs love peanut butter, and we love dogs, so we had to meet their demands here… No one likes sad puppy eyes! Luckily we found some of the best organic roasted peanut butter known to human or canines. With minimal additives like salt and sugar, and without GMO peanuts or preservatives, this peanut butter is fit for a furry King or Queen!

Organic Eggs – Organic eggs help keep all everything together, in addition to providing a fair amount of added protein. We only
use organic fresh eggs, and source locally whenever possible.

MCT Oil – MCT stands for “medium-chain triglycerides”. The fatty acid components of MCTs are known as “medium-chain fatty acids”. MCTs are minor parts of coconut oil and palm kernel, that are naturally enriched to make MCT oils. Research is still being done, but the benefits of MCT oil for dogs may include better brain and memory function, improved concentration, energy boost, and increased endurance, weight loss and improved weight management, and potentially better blood sugar regulation. It is highly digestible and might even help your dogs coat shine as well.

5 mg of Full Spectrum CBD Oil (including CBN, CBG, and other whole-plant nutrients and terpenes) – The good stuff! If aren’t up to date on CBD and dogs, you’ve got to read our article on the benefits of CBD oil for dogs. CBD can change dogs’ lives, as we’ve seen first hand. From mobility to mood, CBD really can work wonders. This is why we made Super Pups, and we hope your furry friend enjoys the potentially life-changing effects of CBD too!
